Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between app credits and the API?
They're completely separate pools. Conflux Home (the desktop app) has its own credit system for agent interactions, included with your subscription. The Conflux Router API is pay-as-you-go: you pay exact provider token prices with no markup. No subscription, no credits, no bundles.
What are credits?
Credits are the currency for the Conflux Home desktop app. Each action costs credits based on the model used — a typical Core model call costs 1-2 credits, while Ultra models cost 8-16. One app credit equals $0.01 of provider cost. The Conflux Router API is separate — pay exact token prices with no credit system involved.
Do credits expire?
No. Purchased credits never expire. Monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle.
Can I use my own API keys?
Yes! Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) is coming soon. You'll be able to use your existing OpenAI/Anthropic/Google keys through our router. Your keys, your costs — no credit system involved.
What happens if I run out of credits?
In the app, you'll be prompted to buy more or upgrade. For API calls, you'll get a 402 error. We never auto-charge for overages without your consent.
